Which came first? Android or iOS?
That’s one question that’s in all our heads. Was it the iPhone that revolutionized touch-screen mobiles or was it Android that started the whole smartphone thing. Many have argued that the iPhone was the device that all the Android phones are based on, if there was no iPhone, there would’ve been no real smartphone.
Currently, when someone’s in the market to buy a smartphone they either look for an iPhone or an Android phone. That’s what it has come down to, an epic battle that will probably never end. The guys at Apple Gazette took out some time from their not so busy schedule and constructed this infographic, which shows that the situation is not how it looks. Apparently, Android OS did come before iOS or iPhone, but it wasn’t called that and was in its rudimentary form. Furthermore the first true Android device, the HTC Dream (G1), came almost one year after the release of the iPhone.
